Young Money – Roger That
Mar 3rd
Tyga, who was great on Weezy’s ‘No Ceilings’, is the weaker of the three, Minaj is acceptable and steady, and Weezy is superb for at least the first 75%. Enjoy.
Rae, Ghost and Mef – Criminology 2.5
Mar 2nd
Straight hood classic with Meth added for extra spice… Download it here. Meth is nice as ish on this, so many dope word compounds.

Salute to the original Tdot prince that put me on… looking forward to the new album. Dark rum and coke, I don’t forget!
Jaya – DJ Do It Again [Video]
Jan 21st
Here’s that back story. I first met Jaya in a little coffee shop in Moorgate about 2 years ago at a charity fundraiser. She was performing with us, Serese and a few others. She could sing the granny pants off Queen Elizabeth, but wasn’t much of a talker, so I took her email and passed it on a few months later to Ara of JumpOff.TV (who need a vocalist for something or another). It bounced back, I wasn’t impressed.
Then last year, we were DJ’ing at The MOBO press party. I’m having coffee in Starbucks with Paul H, Vik Lovesoul and Sumit of TheHipHopChronicle.com and she walked in with one of the VERY FEW smart cookies of the urban music scene, Ben Wynter. This time, she was friendly, engaging and overall pleasing to be around. Ben told me he was going to release Jaya on a single deal with some major label. Thinking back my first encounter at the charity event, aside from the voice, Jaya was voluptuous and very sexy, and knew how to show it. What’s different this time round is that Ben and the team have been able to actually market it (minus a few curves that I think the coffee shop and I witnessed, relegated sadly to our memories).
Ask any Asian female act that hates my brutal honesty, and they’ll tell you that sex appeal is what’s been missing to help these artists cross over. Until today. The playing field just got a LOT more competitive ladies, and everyone is going to have to step their game up. Great catchy song, incredible visuals and the record is the right length, without too many changes thrown in musically. Time will tell how far this career will go, but it’s one of the best starts I’ve seen to date. Ben… send me that record son!
OH PS – 303 views on YouTube. Y’all can kiss my ass if you think I’m gonna be late on s–t in 2010.
Clipse – Freedom [Video]
Jan 19th
Wow, bit of that emo-realism a la Weezy… always knew the brothers Clipse had it in ‘em… and I know there’s more to come on their album ‘Till the Casket Drops‘ – out now.
Charlie Sloth on DJ Gone TV
Jan 18th
Real talk, I don’t get as much chance to check out his web show as much I used to, but you can bet that if son is rhyming, I’ll find time. Now all we need is another mixtape…
Sean Price ft Skyzoo and Torae – Duck Down
Jan 15th
Holy crap… verse of 2010 so far, Sean Price, if we get one of those a month, rappers are in danger…
Who do I gotta pay for Sean Price and Joell Ortiz to throw some 16′s around?
Alicia Keys performs ”Un-thinkable (I’m Ready)” for AOL

I love this song and am amazed how well it is performed outside the studio. I have no issue stanning RapRadar when they find stuff like this.
