The walking contradiction that is KRS-One weighs in on the smoke that is 50 Cent Vs Jay-Z. The brilliant Chuck ‘Jigsaw’ Creekmur brings KRS out in a way that hasn’t been done for a long time (i.e. there was no ‘wtf KRS?’ moment). UPDATE AS WATCHING: KRS said ‘Yayo is no joke’ – ok so FML, Chuck couldn’t keep Krs from saying some dumb shit. Yayo is about as terrible as it gets, you’re wrong Kris, email me if you disagree. Done.
50 Cent Speaks on Kanye Backing Out of Pre-Arranged Contraversy for Album Battle

So we always knew that when Kanye and 50 Cent famously went head to head on album sales in Sept 07 (Kanye’s ‘Graduation’ Vs Fif’s ‘Curtis’) – it was all one big set up, with Viacom, Interscope and Island Def Jam fanning the flames. However, if you read between the lines, or look at the video below for crystal confirmation, 50 has been saying that Kanye didn’t camp up the campaign as much as he should’ve, hence the follow on disses. The full interview will be out on Fuse soon, but until then.

Well here it is folks, the diss record thisis50.com has been hyping people about all week. You like it? Or is this 50 just riding the Beanie wagon as he has an album coming out? The fact that it’s reserved to a rant at the end, rather than a lyrical diss makes me think the latter. Jay will wait till Jan when Fif still isn’t platinum then diss him back IMHO.

I am back on the 50 Cent fan list. This is incredible brand marketing and great for the reach of both 50 and Philips. No wonder Curtis is soo damn cocky, he genuinely comes up with legendary ideas. Here’s the deal.
1) 50 Cent puts out ‘The War Angel LP’ mixtape, it’s street and it’s free
2) Fif gets a huge street buzz going with this single ‘OK, You’re Right’ and addresses his critics
3) He then lines up with an award winning to ad campaign by Philips for a new TV, and chops in his music video seemlessly
And he still earns way more than the head of Saatchi and Saatchi, let’s go!

GZA disses 50 Cent on Paper Plates record

Wow after 8 months of running this site, we bring you our first WORLD EXCLUSIVE. Last night I was out having a drink with DJ Fricktion (Def Jam UK) and GZA from the Wu-Tang Clan, after the 2nd London show this week. We were talking about anything and everything to do with hip-hop and the Ice-T / Soulja Boy debacle came up, as did the incident in Dec 2007 at Coko in London when a young fan took the mic and screamed “f–k 50 Cent” which the media gave the Genius credit for.
Although there wasn’t tonnes of bad blood, 50 did retort, and now GZA is picking up the hatchet. The Wu-Tang’s head henchman asked if I remembered the Jadakiss diss to 50 (which one??), I said ‘yes’ and he said ‘it’s like that… times ten… I’m going to annihilate 50, he can’t f–k with me lyrically’. I asked if it was the kind of record that would end 50’s career, and he said 50’s career is dead anyway, stating that the recent 100k soundscan for G-Unit’s ‘Terminate on Sight’ album would be a good for amount for a GZA album, but is garbage for one of 50’s. It doesn’t take long is GZA’s company to realise that he chooses his words wisely, and he’s not playing on this one.
So guys, I tried to get an advance of the record, which he said would drop tomorrow, but he said he’d already committed the exclusive to Pitch Fork Media, so shout to them.
This story will be updated in due course. Let’s hope the Liquid Swordsman’s latest cut is as clean and deadly as his previous work, because if it is, it spells trouble for Fif and the team. Keep it locked..!
