Unbelievable… there is hope. Reminds me of classic early 90’s Snoop, but Crook has the hunger of 20 young rappers. Shout to DJ Fricktion for the link and HardKnock.TV. Hope you didn’t miss Crook’s freestyle with Joell Ortiz, Block Obama 2 Review, or Wake Up Show Special.

STOP PRESS: Rappers are freestyling again. Maybe the 90’s weren’t just a dream I had… maybe rappers used to rhyme on DJ shows… maybe Royce and The Slaughterhouse could pull us from the dark side.
Peace to DubMD for the download link right here.
You may have heard the sad news that the Rap City show on BET has been cancelled. Many in the UK may never have seen it, but in the internet age, it’s responsible for leaking clips like this…
Snoop shows that even in 2008, he’s still as deadly as the mid-90’s. The second half of this freestyle is a marvel of style, flow and swag. If the UK police stop clubbing him for 5 mins, we’ll get him to spit one of these in the UK hopefully. You like?
Shout to Mr Frost for the clip.
OK, here it is, evidence that Hip-Hop isn’t what it used to be…
First up… The Cool Kids… very cool apparently, and leading the non-substancial hipster movement…aside from the last two minutes, pure struggle along whackness….
and then, Craig G, aka The Villian, of the notorious Juice Crew… sets the mic on fire, and disses Lil’ Wayne and Soulja Boy, while DJ Premier bangs the boards and makes beats on the fly…
What do you think…? Is the old school better than the new school for raw freestyles…? And will Craig G even be acknowledged like Snoop and Method Man for his opinion on the Ice-T diss to Soulja Boy?
