Television ‘tells’, ‘lies’ to your ‘vision’ … remember that old hat…?
Well Nas and Rik did it again with a direct aim and shoot at Fox Television and the powers that be. Finally, a stance in hip-hop…
Although Nas’s team couldn’t get the N title released, they are building the web buzz the right way around these non-commercial freindly records (minus the ‘acting as good as I did in Belly’ video of Nas speaking on the leak, lol). Until then, keep it real, Nas is.
P.S. Look out for the King and Queen of online hip-hop making a cameo…as well as the new Nas, Jay Smooth and Miss Info’s three the hard way posse cut ‘Old Media is Dead’ (i’m KIDDING).
The link to the tape is here. It’s the hottest tape out this month, better than Weezy, yes. I advise you to download it now. The link to the tape is here. (All the links are the same, take the hint and download it now for Hip-Hop’s sake!).
The website cites Entertainment Weekly just moments after a recent press tour in NYC with Green Lantern and DJ Clue (see videos in this blog post) where Nas continues to boost the contraversial nature of the album. In the recent press release, Nas acknowledges that the real name will still stick with fans, and does re-assure them that “It’s been a long time coming. I want my fans to know that creatively and lyrically, they can expect the same content and the same messages. It’s that important.“
This is not the first time this has happened to Nas as the ‘Hip-Hop Is Dead’ album of 2006, was originally supposed to be called ‘The N’, which only ended up being the title of one of the cuts on the album. His 90’s rap-counterpart, Wu-Tang’s Raekwon The Chef, also had his classic debut album title abridged from ‘Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Ni–a’s’, where the same contraversial phrase was dropped. Nas drops ‘Untitled’ on July 1st 2008, go get that album, I think it’s gonna be fire.

There is talk of Jay building this out into a full movie series. He already has Samgoma Edwards playing a younger him, so it’s a good start. I’m looking forward to actually hitting the cinema to see American Gangster. We saw Jay-Z in New York last week in the fashion district at the Rocawear office. Didn’t speak as he just jumped into his Rolls Royce Phantom, but hey, it is what it is.
