What do you do when you’ve proven your talent at the world’s biggest venues, sold DVD’s galore and booked every major talk show (except you Jonathon Ross, get it addressed). You release a book. Here’s some of the press release, the full version is after the jump.
(Toronto) Wednesday, November 18, 2009 – Just announced Doubleday Canada has acquired the rights to a new book from international comedy star Russell Peters. The yet-untitled book will be published in Fall, 2010.
“Russell Peters is the biggest comedy talent in the world,” says Brad Martin, President and CEO of Random House of Canada Limited. “His fans around the globe are going to make this book a major publishing event.”
As Russell’s official Afterparty DJ’s for the last two years, we thought it would be only right that we posted a direct link to buy tickets to his London 02 Arena show, this February 14th 2008 (yup, Valentines Day).
If you want to buy tickets, click here. It’s not to be missed!!!
Ticket’s link is www.ticketmaster.co.uk – I spoke to the management and they said that the tickets were pushed back as they work out some details, no reason for concern. Also, there will be two DJ’s on stage this time round… until then, enjoy the below.
I am a real fan of these clips, especially in the absence of anything new online comedy-wise. Typically, Russell as R-Peezy…enjoy…
At Q-Bert’s house, with Q-Bert, on Q-Bert’s tables…made. Also, Russell refers to a trick of drilling a new hole into a record and playing it, watch Q-Bert do that in 1991 in this VERY rare, recently uploaded YouTube video (put up June 8th 2008, 791 hits on my day of post, hate me now…)
He has gone from slaying audiences at The Royal Opera House, Australia, to Madison Square Garden, NYC… and now in his conquest of history, Russell Peters will be peforming at the O2 Arena, in Greenwich, London, on Valentines Day, Saturday 14th, 2009.
Tickets on sale Sept. 1st 2008. More news as it arrives…
His site is RussellPeters.com or go here for updates via the Facebook event. Do not miss out, keep up with ticket info…!
So it finally happened…Just days before selling out NYC’s Madison Square Garden, Russell Peters turns up on the world famous Def Comedy Jam (as in Martin Lawrence, Chris Tucker, Bernie Mac, etc, etc).
For those of you who don’t know Def Comedy Jam, it was established out of the U.S. black comedy circuit in the early 90’s. Russell drops the N-bomb five times, and still walks of stage cool as a fan, a true testament to his versatility as an artist and acceptance by many diverse cultures as a ambassador for a new era in comedy.
Stay tuned to lovesoul.TV for information on when Russell will be returning to the UK for another sell-out tour. For previous Russell Peters info, including his 2006 and 2007 UK afterparties, click here.
