Snoop Dogg – Protocol [Video]

Easily the best record he’s put out since the early 90’s. Someone give him the name Snoop Doggy Dogg back… that’s more than a moniker, it’s a title.  Props to Faahz and 2DopeBoyz.  PS – It seems the control panel for the video disappears, so if you want to pause it, press space bar.

Snoop shows why we need Rap City

You may have heard the sad news that the Rap City show on BET has been cancelled. Many in the UK may never have seen it, but in the internet age, it’s responsible for leaking clips like this…

Snoop shows that even in 2008, he’s still as deadly as the mid-90’s. The second half of this freestyle is a marvel of style, flow and swag. If the UK police stop clubbing him for 5 mins, we’ll get him to spit one of these in the UK hopefully. You like?

Shout to Mr Frost for the clip.

Suge Knight Knocked Out in Bloody Fistfight

Not that we’re war mongers, but we felt it was right to report that Hip-Hop’s big bad wolf, Suge Knight, was knocked to the ground this past Saturday at Shag Nightclub, according to [full story].

Suge Knight Knocked out in LA

Right on the pulse, reported:

“As we first reported, Suge was at Shag nightclub when he began arguing with a man he had been talking with. Our spy overheard Suge say, “I want my money!” Suge and his peeps beat the guy to the ground, but the man landed a right hook on Suge’s face, knocking him out for around three minutes.”

True to his persona, Suge Knight, former Death Row Records CEO, home to Tupac, Snoop and Dre, did not press charges.  I’ve not known of a well publicised beating for Suge so we hope the repercussions aren’t too extreme.

Snoop Dogg coming back to the UK, 'They fought me and hit us with Billy clubs'

See the video below shot recently at Power 92 on the Kendra G show. Snoop states, ‘they fought me and hit us with billy clubs…A judge looked at the case about a year later…because there was so many letters being written‘ [just over 8 minutes into the video].

You also see Kendra put a foot wrong very early in the story by digging for a Dre record. Though Uncle Snoop gets crazy defensive, Kendra is an absolute professional in bringing the interview back and covering some great editorial. We DEFINITELY need more interviewers like this in Hip-Hop. Unfortunately, there isn’t enough space on this blog to go into all the ignorant ass flame fanners that make problems worse when they hit an artists nerves. Hit Kendra’s page here.
