Soulja Boy Apologises for being Soulja Boy?
Dec 21st
I think I must be high… did Soulja Boy just superman and apology all of the faces of the young peoples parents..? Wow, I guess once you have the cars and houses, all you got left to spend on is great PR advisors…
I’m not hating though, whatever sells records… it’s better than catching a case for ‘Driving while eating a cheese sandwhich’ the week before your record comes out…(yeah rapper, you).
GZA disses 50 Cent on Paper Plates record
Jul 17th
Wow after 8 months of running this site, we bring you our first WORLD EXCLUSIVE. Last night I was out having a drink with DJ Fricktion (Def Jam UK) and GZA from the Wu-Tang Clan, after the 2nd London show this week. We were talking about anything and everything to do with hip-hop and the Ice-T / Soulja Boy debacle came up, as did the incident in Dec 2007 at Coko in London when a young fan took the mic and screamed “f–k 50 Cent” which the media gave the Genius credit for.
Although there wasn’t tonnes of bad blood, 50 did retort, and now GZA is picking up the hatchet. The Wu-Tang’s head henchman asked if I remembered the Jadakiss diss to 50 (which one??), I said ‘yes’ and he said ‘it’s like that… times ten… I’m going to annihilate 50, he can’t f–k with me lyrically’. I asked if it was the kind of record that would end 50′s career, and he said 50′s career is dead anyway, stating that the recent 100k soundscan for G-Unit’s ‘Terminate on Sight’ album would be a good for amount for a GZA album, but is garbage for one of 50′s. It doesn’t take long is GZA’s company to realise that he chooses his words wisely, and he’s not playing on this one.
So guys, I tried to get an advance of the record, which he said would drop tomorrow, but he said he’d already committed the exclusive to Pitch Fork Media, so shout to them.
This story will be updated in due course. Let’s hope the Liquid Swordsman’s latest cut is as clean and deadly as his previous work, because if it is, it spells trouble for Fif and the team. Keep it locked..!

Happy New Year Lovesoul TV readers; Skillz Rap Up of 2007
Jan 2nd
Firstly HAPPY NEW YEAR to all the lovesoul.TV readers, thank you for helping us run up well over 4500 hits in no time…we have new writers on the site and more content every week. Also big shout to all those who came out to see us DJ over Xmas and NYE in London.
Every year, Jazzy Jeff’s tour MC and all round underground legend, Skillz, does an end of year rap-up. He basically raps about stories that made the urban news in 2007 and it’s always good for a laugh. This year he mentions Akon dry humping kids on stage, Jay-Z sale of Roc-A-Wear, Kelly Rowland and Beyonce falling on stage, 50 and Kanye’s Album sales battle, Lil Wayne being on every record, Usher getting married, DJ Drama getting raided, Camron generally being ass, ringtone rappers like Soulja Boy, Amy Winehouse, Bobby Brown and Whitney, Rihanna (looking NASTY crossdressed), iPhone, Foxy Brown, T-Pain (getting his ass handed to him) and a whole bunch of other crazyness.
He’s got a couple of the clowns from Wild ‘N’ Out in there who make it MUCH funnier than just the song, and the clips help a lot, hopefully he’ll get some TV from it (take note MTV Base and Channel U). Still it’s not as funny as previous years, the beat is too boring and simple, and too many multiple references to 50, Akon, etc… I think he should invite rappers on some official remixes. Still if you’ve been listening for years, this is no reason to stop…you like?
